We suppose that among our subscribers there are many people who are at the very beginning of their fertility journey. You’ve been trying to have a baby for some time, but so far without success.
What should you understand about this: each case is individual. Before going into thorough fertility testing, it is wise to start with a basic fertility checkup, this will give you a better perspective.

Here is a checklist you may start with:

  • Anti-Müllerian hormone test
  • Hormonal profile (days 2, 3, or 4 of any menstrual cycle): FSH, LH, PRL, E2, progesterone, free T3, free T4, TSH, anti-TPO
  • Sperm Analysis
  • Baseline transvaginal ultrasound report with pictures describing the size and structure of the uterus and ovaries, and antral follicle count

Based on these results you should consider your age and the time you have been trying to conceive. Specialists recommend an infertility evaluation if you didn’t achieve pregnancy within 1 year of having regular sexual intercourse. If you are older than 35, then checking after 6 months is recommended.

Several lifestyle factors can affect your fertility:

  • Smoking
  • Excess weight
  • How much alcohol do you drink
  • High levels of stress

If you have difficulty accessing medical centers in your country due to COVID restrictions, we can help. You can do all the tests at ADONIS medical centers.
