The story of Michelle, an Adonis Fertility International team member, is serendipitous and makes us all believe in the divine nature of “perfect timing.” It wasn’t long after Adonis’ Executive Director, Maria Feekes, and Adonis’ Chief Business Development Officer, Kristi Campbell looked into the benefits of expanding to the United States market when Michelle contacted them. Maria and Kristi have worked together for almost 20 years. Their faith in one another’s integrity and passions is a perfect match to help people realize their dreams.

Before Michelle contacted them, Maria was busy connecting families worldwide with their perfect surrogate. She’d already matched thousands of families with their ideal surrogate or egg donor. She continued speaking with people globally regarding their dreams of having a baby and the best way to make them happen. Kristi was learning about ADONIS in Ukraine and educating herself about the difference between Adonis Fertility International and existing surrogacy agencies in the US.

They didn’t realize what they were missing when Michelle contacted them.

Michelle carried somebody else’s baby for them. While you don’t know her, you know about life-changing experiences, and Michelle’s surrogacy journey was her most life-changing experience ever.

She gave birth six months ago and couldn’t stop thinking about it.

It’s become my mission to share the magic of what I’ve been through with as many people as possible. Of course, I’m also a bit shy about sharing because surrogacy is kind of a foreign concept to most of us. 

When I wanted a third baby, my husband wasn’t on the same page. At the time, my sister had a friend who’d just delivered a baby for another family – as a surrogate. I thought it was a little weird but also beautiful in an unexpected way. 

Fast forward…I researched my options and ended up carrying a child for absolutely wonderful people. I’ll cherish them forever. 

To this day, we exchange holiday cards and get together when possible (which is not too much, and just enough). We trade kid photos and parenting advice. It’s almost like I have another set of grandparents for my own kids, although they know they’re not the same as their grandparents.

My experience was empowering and meaningful beyond words. After it, my new goal was to spread the word about this miracle. The overall magic overwhelmed me, and it felt sad that so many people I spoke with had never considered it as an option (let’s face it… we’ve heard of it, but surrogacy isn’t something we talk about regularly). 

I knew I wanted to be involved with surrogacy forever, and after talking with a few companies, I chose to join Adonis Fertility International as a proud team member.
