WHAT IS THE SURROGACY PROCESS?

Surrogacy is where a woman carries and gives birth to a baby on behalf of somebody else.

It involves selecting a surrogate, undergoing medical procedures such as examinations, embryo creation, embryo transfer, etc., until the birth of a child, and navigating legal agreements to ensure the intended parents’ rights and responsibilities are established.

The surrogate receives prenatal care and gives birth, and the intended parents are indicated in legal documents for the child as parents.

There are two types of surrogacy – traditional surrogacy and gestational surrogacy. The gestational surrogacy process tends to be the most effective and safe type for both the intended parents and the surrogate (from the legal side).

The surrogacy process typically involves steps such as researching, selecting a surrogacy agency or attorney, evaluating finances, undergoing medical assessments, finding a suitable surrogate, establishing legal agreements, proceeding with medical procedures, offering emotional support, and completing necessary legal formalities.

HOW LONG DOES THE SURROGACY PROCESS TAKE?

The duration of the surrogacy process can vary depending on several factors, including the specific circumstances, country or state laws, availability of surrogates, and any potential legal or medical complications.

On average, the surrogacy process for intended parents can take anywhere from 12 to 18 months, but it may be shorter or longer in individual cases. It is important to remember that each surrogacy journey is unique, and the timeline can be influenced by various factors beyond your control. Working closely with a surrogacy agency or attorney can help you better understand the estimated timeline based on your specific situation.

02: COMPLETE PROGRAM COORDINATION AGREEMENT

Intended parents accept the program proposal and proceed to finalize the program coordination agreement with Adonis Fertility Solutions.

03: SELECT GESTATIONAL CARRIER (SURROGATE)

Based on your requirements, we carefully match you with the ideal gestational carrier (GC). The GC undergoes extensive medical and psychological testing, and the results are shared with the intended parents for a thorough review.

Our expert medical team then provides final approval of the GC for your program. The intended parents and the GC draft, review, and finalize a comprehensive contract, ensuring clarity and agreement for all parties involved.

04: ENTER THE MEDICAL PROCESS

Our experienced reproductive specialists will create a personalized treatment plan for the intended parents, including a list of required medical examinations. During your initial visit, these examinations can be conveniently conducted either in your home country or at the Adonis Medical Center in Ukraine.

During this time, the intended parents will have the opportunity to meet and become familiar with their chosen GC before signing the contract. We offer a reliable cryopreservation program for sperm storage, and for surrogacy programs involving egg or sperm donation, additional steps will be assigned.

05: ENJOY YOUR BABY’S GROWTH

After confirming the pregnancy, our dedicated team will closely monitor and support your surrogate throughout the entire surrogacy process, ensuring the utmost care for your baby. We coordinate all medical appointments and scans for the surrogate and provide regular updates to the Intended parents, including ultrasound results, videos, and photos of the developing fetus.

If desired, the intended parents can maintain ongoing contact with the GC.

Rest assured, we handle all necessary communications and pre-birth legal processes with efficiency and expertise.

06: GET READY TO MEET YOUR BABY

At Adonis Fertility Solutions, we handle all the logistics to ensure your presence at the maternity hospital during the baby’s delivery.

As part of our Surrogacy Program, your stay at the hospital is fully covered, allowing you to fully embrace and cherish this important experience. We strive to ensure that you make the most of this precious and significant moment.

07: COMPLETE YOUR JOURNEY

Upon your baby’s arrival, Adonis Fertility Solutions will provide comprehensive support in obtaining the birth certificate issued in your name.
